I admit I'm a lep gal (lep = lepidoptera) Here are some of my favorite photos of them.

I have decided to combine two hobbies -- photography and button collecting. These photos are intended to be creative rather than instructional, though I may include tidbits here and there (but I am not necessarily shooting the backs). I am starting now (May 2020) and will be experimenting with lighting, composition, background and props. I'm shooting macro which means a lot of repeat shots when an unexpected piece of hair or fuzz gets in the way. Your eyes may deceive you about what's really there. But macro never does!
